The campaign of fake news about additional salaries for medical personnel, which is currently being conducted by the opposition, is out of place, " prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki wrote on Facebook on Sunday.

"I remind, also to members of the opposition, that the task of the law from the beginning was and is to provide an additional 100 percent. salaries for doctors delegated to work by the governors. All others who are already working on the front line of the fight against covid – 19 in hospitals II and III level, as well as paramedics and diagnostics from hospital laboratories, are guaranteed payment of additional full salary starting from November 1," - wrote the prime minister.

Morawiecki added that this decision, in agreement with him, was made a month ago by the minister of health Adam Niedzielski.

"Payment for November will be until December 10. Please do not mislead the medical profession and the general public. Politicians are in order to seek solutions and help, and not to introduce chaos and unnecessary panic, " reads the message of the prime minister.

On November 1, the minister of health Adam Niedzielski issued an order to the president of the national health service to receive 100% of the medical personnel fighting covid-19, together with paramedics and diagnostics of hospital laboratories. a higher salary in the form of an additional benefit. The order entered into force on the date of signature.

In addition to the previously designated medical staff of Level II and III hospitals, the order also includes medical entities that include units of the state emergency medical service system or emergency rooms, as well as laboratories of medical entities that are level I, II and III hospitals with which the national health fund has concluded an agreement to perform RT-PCR diagnostic tests for SARS-CoV-2.

The minister of health ensures that doctors, nurses, paramedics and laboratory diagnostics involved in the fight against the epidemic will receive allowances; and increased salaries are accrued from the beginning of November.

On Saturday, the Sejm-rejecting the position of the Senate-voted to make allowances of 100 percent. salaries were available only to those medical workers who are involved in the treatment of COVID-19 patients, but were directed to this work by the Voivode. The Senate voted to reject in its entirety the amendment to the so-called covid-19 law, which provides for the creation of allowances for health workers, arguing that it violates the m.in. the principle of equality enshrined in the constitution.

"The government, which takes away medical benefits for the fight against covid-19 at a time when they are risking their health and lives to save poles, and at the same time gives a light hand again 2 billion for government TVP, does not deserve to rule us. You can't win with viral propaganda!"- wrote on Saturday on Twitter the speaker of the Senate Tomasz Grodzki.

The amendment – which, after being rejected on Saturday in the Sejm, will now go to the president's decision – was created on the initiative of the PiS deputies, due to – as was justified – their mistake in voting the Senate amendments to the previous amendment of the so-called covid-19 law, in connection with which a provision was introduced into the law that the allowances belong to all health workers involved in the fight against the epidemic, and not only-as originally assumed-to those directed to such work by the Voivode.

Also on Saturday in the Journal of laws was published-signed by the president on November 3-the previous amendment, which assumes that 100 percent. additives will get all health workers involved in the fight against the covid-19 epidemic-this provision came into force on Sunday with effect from 5 September. The opposition in November repeatedly called for the publication of this amendment. In response, PiS politicians, including m.in. the head of the club and Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Ryszard Terlecki informed that the amendment will be published when the amendment "correcting the error" from the vote will be adopted.
